2021 Tennessee Flood Response and Recovery Fund

About

Torrential rain this weekend led to devastating flooding in the Middle Tennessee Area. In support of the communities impacted by the floods, Bright Funds has established the 2021 Tennessee Flood Response and Recovery Fund. This Fund is comprised of pre-vetted nonprofits providing emergency response in the region. Through a single donation to the Fund, you can support multiple organizations' initiatives to provide short-term and long-term response and recovery. We have initially selected organizations that are providing immediate relief needs. The composition of the nonprofits in this Fund are subject to change as we learn more about the needs on the ground.

The American Red Cross is assisting with four shelters — two in Waverly, one in Dickson and one in Centerville — and provides a disaster helpline. The organization also has an online registry where survivors can register and send messages about their well-being.

Community Resource Center

The Community Resource Center empowers their partner agencies to maintain their focus on providing critical services to Middle Tennessee's most vulnerable populations by relieving them of the burden of securing basic essential products. They have set up three donation drop off locations and established a list of items needed to support families. They have also established a crisis clean up line for people impacted by the flooding.
