ParivarBayArea (https://www.parivarbayarea.org/) is America’s only Trans Led Trans centering Southasian Organization. Parivar celebrates the intersectionality of Trans Queer & South Asian Indian identities and builds a community of light, love, and acceptance. Since 2018, ParivarBayArea has been committed to Global Disaster Relief, Advocacy through Arts and Community Building. key achievements have been: a. Holding over 38 spaces for Queer Transgender Hijrah events and discussions across San Francisco Bay Area and virtual places. b. Building the largest relief and rehabilitation Transgender grassroots initiative in India- SITAL(Save Indian Trans ALLINDIA Lives), raising over $350,000( over 2.75 Crores INR) serving over 90,000 Trans Hijrah Kinnar Folx. c. Co-founding, Chairing the SF LGBTQ+ COVID Relief Coalition serving the needs of the LGBTQ+ communities across the Bay Area’s nine counties, raising over $200,000 to provide microgrants, groceries, rent relief and vaccinations. d. Co-founded and lead the QTAPI(Queer Trans API) coalition bringing awareness to Queer Trans Asian Pacific Islander Week holding over 15 events nationwide. e. Holding support group(Robaroo), vaccination drives, COVID testing sites, trans-affirming surgery funding in partnership with San Francisco AIDS Foundation, Alameda County Health Department, NQAPIA, TransVision(India) and many more partners. f. Launched and successfully enabled over 130 Trans Hijrah folx to rebuild livelihoods from micro enterprises as part of our SITAL livelihoods programs to achieve trans economic justice. Programs in progress include locations in India, Guyana and Bangladesh. Businesses include sewing, drinking water, cooking/hoteling, beauty salons, trans-care medical clinic and many more. g. Developed and launched parivarbazaar.com, a full fledged e-commerce site showcasing products and art made, touched, finished and/or sourced by Trans Hijrah folks of the global south. h. Established the Transgender Global South Coalition with El/La Para Trans Latinas. The LGBT Aslyum Project to provide legal, socioeconomic and mental support to immigrant LGBTQ Transgender Hijrah Kinnar arriving into America.

Since 2013 Foundation "For Change" annually organizes summer camps for kids in risk - kids who were abused, orphans, kids who live in poverty. Last 2 years this tradition was paused due to covid but this year we again have a chance to give to the "different" kids something unforgettable. In those summer camps we show the kids that there are other ways of communication, values in life. We encourage them to dream and be ready to make efforts for those dreams to come true. We show them love and correction, help them build skills they will need in their lives through games, activities and conversations. We believe that it is possible for them to have a good life and future and that their choices do matter. We do all of this with a team of great volunteers. One of those volunteers is the family of Ivo Rahov who is regularly part of those summer camps. But it is not only Ivo Rahov’s family that supports those children - it is all of you, who for the past several years are participating in preparing the Christmas gifts for those kids. Over 400 Cisco employees, families and friends from 21 countries, are currently training to join in the adventure of hiking the famous Spanish 'Camino de Santiago' (The Way of Saint James) in June. During the period of the Camino, the combined team will walk more than 60,000 km, or 37,000 miles; equivalent to walking around the earth's equator one and a half times. The main purpose of this initiative is to raise funds for cancer support associations across the globe. We all have been impacted in some way by cancer, and in support of the efforts of "Los Caminantes", we are asking you to join us in the fight against cancer. Every amount donated to this cause will help! It can make a difference to someone facing one of the most difficult times of their life or to help make their last moments on earth count. This America's based virtual team has chosen to support charities that help to fight muliple myeloma, which is often considered a death sentence. Cisco B1 UCS Collective efforts to support Family Giving Tree's Annual Back Pack Drive 2022 - our goal is $1,500.00 which averages to about 40 back packs for children in need in the Bay Area. 1 in 3 Bay Area families struggle to meet all of their financial needs. This sad reality means school supplies and backpacks are not always a guarantee every year for their student children. To help, Family Giving Tree’s Back-to-School Drive works to create a more equitable learning space for students when they begin a new school year. Every student deserves to feel hopeful and well-prepared in school and your support is vital to equip 26,000 students this summer.

Soñar Despierto is supporting kids living in foster care institutions in Spain from childhood to independence, through engaged volunteers, educational, leisurely and motivational programs, to give them back their right to dream. From June 6th-10th, over 400 Cisco employees, families, and friends from 21 countries will be hiking the Camino de Santiago in support of the fight against cancer. Our team the “WANderers” – sorry to those in IT, will be hiking 115km of the French route in the aid of Cancer Research UK. Cancer Research UK is an independent charity funding vital research for the treatment and prevention of Cancer, they also contribute to cancer policy, national strategy, and educational communication. Their many contributions to the fight against cancer are best summarised in the following timeline: https://www.cancerresearchuk.org/our-progress The NHS predicts 1 in 2 people will develop some form of cancer during their lifetime, and the World Health Organization accounts cancer to nearly one in six deaths worldwide. I’m certain for many of you these statistics will strike a chord personally, for myself, it took my late Grandfather Lewis Smith - one of the most fantastic men that I’ve known and who continues to be a constant inspiration to this day. Without the incredible work of charities such as Cancer Research UK, this disease is a bleak sentence, so for our time in Camino, we will walk for those researchers and carers who treat and assist our loved ones, and we will walk for those affected by cancer, especially those who no longer can. Social Justice: Justice in terms of the distribution of wealth, opportunities, and privileges within a society. Donate and volunteer with organizations helping to challenge racial, structural, and economic injustice, end police brutality and enforce accountability, and eradicate inequality.

In June, the Cisco New Zealand team is taking part in a challenge to do 3,139 push-ups in 24 days. That's 131 per day!! We are helping to shine the light on lives lost to suicide and raise awareness of mental health.

This fund was set up to support nonprofits + charities, which were selected by Pantheon staff + community members, in improving the lives + expanding the rights of those in the LGBTQIA+ community. Each nonprofit listed here is involved in work that benefits the LGBTQIA+ community in some capacity, + 100% of the funds raised will be split evenly between the 50 organizations. Anyone can contribute to this fund, so please share it far + wide! If you do donate, remember to also ask your employer if they’ll match your donation. Note: Pantheon matches donations for full-time employees up to $500 USD per year per employee, up to $25K USD per year.

The sun is finally coming out and so we thought what better way to celebrate summer and promote good mental health than a steps challenge. The UKI Customer Success team will be challenged throughout the month of June to walk the equivalent distance around Great Britain! This will be tracked and logged by counting daily steps or time done exercising. We will be raising funds and awareness for the mental health charity 'Mind' with the hope of improving our own mental health through exercise and fresh air. Please feel free to join or share the challenge!
